Online & Delivery
Managing online orders and click-and-collect
How an online order reaches you, what happens to stock, and how to fulfil for collection or delivery.
1 min read
Online orders arrive in the same system as your counter sales — there is no separate inbox to remember to check.
- The order appears on the Online Orders screen with the customer, the items and how they intend to pay.
- Confirm it. Stock is committed so it cannot be sold twice.
- Pack the order and mark it ready.
- For collection, the customer is notified that it is waiting at the branch they chose.
- For delivery, send it to the delivery desk and assign a driver.
Note — Payment can be taken online at checkout or collected on delivery, and either way the sale lands in your ordinary sales figures and reporting.
Tip — Cancelled and refunded orders keep their reason, so a pattern — an item that keeps getting cancelled, an address that keeps failing — becomes visible instead of anecdotal.
