Splitting payments and handling returns
Split a bill across multiple payment methods and process full or partial refunds to any payment type.

Real-world transactions are messy — customers pay in parts and sometimes bring items back. MerxumOS handles both cleanly.
Split payments
When charging, add more than one payment method to the same sale — for example part cash and part mobile money — until the balance reaches zero.
Refunds and returns
- Find the original sale in your transaction history.
- Choose Refund and select the items being returned (full or partial).
- Pick the refund method and confirm.
- Stock is automatically returned to inventory where applicable.
Note — Refund permissions are role-based — you can limit refunds to managers to reduce shrinkage.
