    Billing & Refunds

    Effective Date: June 8, 2026
    Last Updated: June 8, 2026

    The short version

Try MerxumOS free for 14 days — no card charged until your trial ends. Plans are billed in advance and are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We'll always fix genuine billing mistakes.

    1. Free trial

New accounts include a 14-day free trial so you can evaluate MerxumOS fully before paying. We do not charge you during the trial. When the trial ends, your subscription begins on the plan you selected unless you cancel beforehand. The free trial is your opportunity to make sure MerxumOS is right for your business.

    2. Plans & billing cycle

    • We offer the Spark, Surge, and Reign plans, each with different limits and features.
    • You can choose monthly or annual billing. Annual billing is offered at a discount versus paying monthly.
    • Subscription fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period and renew automatically until you cancel.
    • Prices are shown in Ghana Cedi (GH₵) unless stated otherwise.

    3. Payment methods

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include card, mobile money, and bank transfer depending on your region. You authorise us to charge your selected payment method for the recurring subscription fee until you cancel.

    4. Upgrades & downgrades

    • Upgrades take effect immediately so you can use the new features right away.
    • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and your account must fit within the lower plan's limits (for example, number of branches, brands, or staff) before the change applies.
    • Your data is preserved when you change plans.

    5. Refunds

Because we provide a 14-day free trial that lets you evaluate the Service in full, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, for time unused on an open account, or for plan downgrades.

We will, however, make things right in cases such as:

    • A duplicate or accidental charge.
    • A billing error on our side.
    • Any situation where a refund is required by applicable law.

If you believe you've been charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge and we'll review it promptly.

    6. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and will notify you so you can update your payment method. To give you time to resolve it, we provide a short grace period; if the fee remains unpaid after that, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is received. Your data is retained during this period.

    7. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period. You can export your data before you leave, and we retain it for a grace period afterwards so you can reactivate. See our Terms & Conditions for full details on account closure and data retention.

    8. Taxes

Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, levies, or duties (such as VAT) associated with your subscription, except for taxes based on our net income.

    9. Changes & contact

We may update this Billing & Refunds policy from time to time; the "Last Updated" date above reflects the latest version. This policy works alongside our Terms & Conditions. For any billing question, email us at [email protected].
