Processing your first sale on the POS
Open a sale, add products, apply discounts, and accept payment in cash, mobile money, or card.

The MerxumOS POS is built for speed at the counter, whether you are scanning barcodes or tapping products on a touchscreen.
- Open the POS and add items by scanning a barcode, searching, or tapping a product tile.
- Adjust quantities or apply a discount to a line or the whole basket if needed.
- Choose Charge and select how the customer is paying — cash, mobile money, or card.
- For cash, enter the amount tendered and MerxumOS shows the change due.
- Complete the sale and print or send the receipt.
Tip — You can split a single bill across more than one payment method — handy when a customer pays part cash and part mobile money.
